Follow-up Meetings with Women Leaders in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

During the second week of January 2022, a delegation of Latinas in Power composed of Katy Gil, Cynthia Loría, and Nitza Seguí, made a tour of Central America, with the purpose of meeting with women's organizations and leaders participating in the work of the First TransnaTioal Summit of Women for Equality, Inclusion, and Social Justice during the month of October 2022

We met to continue dialogue with women about the problems of organizations, relations with state forces, and violations of women's rights. Continue by tracing a route of programmatic work and political advocacy and, again, visit the communities.

Latinas en Poder continues to reach out to women leaders in migrant women's communities of origin.

We closed our tour in Honduras. During our stay in this country, we were invited to the inauguration of the First Elected Female President Xiomara Castro, who has a vision and commitment to gender equality and the defense of the rights of Honduran women. The election of President Xiomara Castro is a role model in the Central American region.
